Today, the Volkswagen hatchback lineup includes six different models–four compacts and two wagons. Here’s what you should look for on our lot:
That’s right! Each Volkswagen hatchback is a unique variation on the classic Golf. Find the model that’s right for you by reading on!
The 2020 Volkswagen Golf hatchback starts at $23,195 MSRP*. As VW readies itself to introduce the next generation of Golf models in the near future, the current 2020 Golf is available in just one trim level, the Golf TSI.
It includes a standard 147-hp 1.4L turbo four-cylinder engine, comes equipped with a Blind Spot Monitor & Front Assist, and offers up to 53.7 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats flat. You’ll also enjoy up to 31 mpg in combined settings, according to EPA-estimates.
Looking for a “hot hatch” that’s just as exciting as it is affordable? Your preferred Volkswagen Hatchback may be the GTI, a variant of the Golf that includes a more powerful engine and starts at just $28,595 MSRP*. Three trim levels–the S, SE, and Autobahn–are available in 2020.
Features like Autobahn-tuned sport suspension and Driving Mode Selection allow you to enjoy everything that the standard 228-hp 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine has to offer. Optional upgrades like DCC® adaptive chassis control and paddle shifters give you even more to love.
The Volkswagen e-Golf was placed on hiatus for 2020, but it’s still possible to find this Volkswagen hatchback as a 2019 model. With its 35.8 kWh 323 V lithium-ion battery, it combines efficiency and utility in a way that’s sure to please Cave Creek and Paradise Valley drivers. You’ll enjoy a 125-mile range and up to 52.7 cubic feet of cargo room with the rear seats flat.
The Volkswagen Golf Alltrack was also discontinued at the end of the 2019 model year, but rumor has it that this vehicle will once again be offered as an SUV! Given the 2019 Golf Alltrack wagon’s excellent ground clearance, standard 4MOTION® all-wheel drive, and impressive off-road capabilities, we couldn’t be more excited to see where it ends up.
The Golf SportWagen was designed to appeal to drivers who love the sportiness of the Golf family, but who desire the utility of an SUV! Like the Alltrack, the Golf SportWagen ended its current run as a 2019 model. However, with up to 66.5 cubic feet of storage space and the same 1.4-liter turbocharged engine that you’d find in the standard Golf, it set a new standard in the segment.
For performance enthusiasts who believe that every drive should deliver memorable thrills, there’s the Volkswagen Golf R. The 2019 model included a 288-hp 2.0L turbo engine, DCC® adaptive chassis control, and navigation as standard. Although there was no new Golf R for 2020, those in the know are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 2021 Golf R, which may offer up to 330 hp.
